One of Will's teachers told me that he was comforting a new student the other day beause it was that student's first day of camp and he was sad that his mom left after dropping him off.
William to the kid:
Don't worry, your mom will come back later! Don't be sad! Do you want to color with me?
Don't worry, your mom will come back later! Don't be sad! Do you want to color with me?

It reminds me of whenever we are in the car and Harper is crying. He always says something like:
Don't cry, Harper! We're here! And we love you! And you love us! We'll be home soon!
I can only pray that William will always have empathy and compassion when he sees others in distress.
